David Reindorp became Vicar of Chelsea Old Church in January 2006. David's grandfather was Vicar of St. Simon Zelotes, Chelsea and his father grew up in Chelsea, so although he was born in Westminster Children's Hospital, where his father was Vicar of St. Stephen's, Rochester Row, he feels he has come home.

David started his working life in Chelsea. Prior to Ordination in 1983, David had a variety of jobs, a broker at Lloyds in the City, a male model (it was a long time ago!), delivering newspapers, and a social worker.

David has served in a variety of parishes, a big council housing estate, a market town, two country villages and an urban parish. David, prior to coming to London, was Rural Dean of Cambridge and remains an Honorary Canon of Ely Cathedral.

David's interests are in broadcasting; his T.V. appearances have been ‘Lads Army', ‘Lads Army II' and ‘Bad Lads Army', ‘That'll reach ‘em', and ‘Wakey, Wakey'; he is Chaplain to the Honourable Artillery Company, the oldest territorial regiment in the British Army and to the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers.

David is married to Suzy (whom he met in Chelsea!). She was editorial assistant at House & Garden Magazine and an editor at the Harvill Press, a subsidiary of William Collins. She now is a counsellor and psychotherapist.

David and Suzy have three children, Thomas, Lavinia and Christopher and their black Labrador, Milly.
